Mourning with my baby girl...

Cassie's final paci broke last night. We knew that it was on the verge. She knew that it was about to break and then no more paci. That didn't make it any easier. I knew...I KNEW that I had a spare paci in my nightstand and wanted sooooooo badly to go get it and give it to her to make her feel better. I guess I know how God feels when things happen to us and He has to let us deal with stuff to make us stronger. He could make things "all better" at any time, but He allows us to suffer for our own good sometimes. This is definitely for her own good. She's over 2 and her teeth are just barely starting to be affected by the paci. She's only had it at bedtime and naptime for a long, long time, but it was her comfort and now that comfort is gone...for good. It really broke my heart and she just sobbed and clung to me for over an hour. Poor little thing. She kept saying, "Sing me a song, Momma!" I'd sing while she cried and then I'd finish the song and her crying would get louder. It was really tough!

In Conrey news, he is now sleeping about 3.5-4 hour stretches at night. It's really nice. He's done a few 5's, but not consistently yet. I am just waiting for that one morning when I wake up only to realize that he's slept straight through! :)

Well, I'm going to go comfort my little one. I hope that everyone has a great day! I'll keep you updated on the whole moving/not moving situation! :)

What a sad day yoy guys must be having. I can't imagine! Poor little girl!

Sounds like Conrey is doing good though and I'm sure you'll startle one of these mornings and jump out of bed when you realize he's slept through the night, it's coming!

Oh it broke, hopefully she'll forget all about it tomorrow! Caden was really upset the first day with not having a bottle anymore but the next day he forgot all about it. :) AND what's up with everyone moving!!

I used to dip my kids' pacifiers in buffalo wing sauce. That cures them pretty quick.

It's also what landed me in jail. Stupid coppers!

We actually just gave Chloe back her pacifier; she's been waking up way too often to nurse (just the need to suck) so we put the pacifier back into swing. Tonight is our first night, here's to hoping she doesn't stir!

I feel like I'm taking a step back, but I figure we have another year until it's necessary to remove it.

I also wanted to say that I feel for Cassie and you both, hang in there!

What a huge milestone for you all with the paci!

I just got updated on you blog- a possible move to Wichita! (I think that would be awesome-more people for me to visit with when we make trips back home like this weekend for instance!)

Not sure we will be moving back, but I will keep you posted on that one within the next year! It could be NC, TX, FL, GA, I have no clue only God does!

Love ya lots-I have to go and do laundry now- OH JOY!
